Brisbane - Regular Meetups

  • Alternating locations - see below for details (map)

A reminder to all that we have regular monthly in-person meetups, to offer the opportunity for conversation and community. (“Find The Others!” — Terence McKenna.)

These are in New Farm Park at the end of Brunswick St, between the ferry stop/cafe and the gazebo, on the first Saturday of each month; and in Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in the bamboo grove behind the art gallery, on the third Sunday of each month. Our start time is 10am, and usually people are there until 2pm or so. Peer integration circles are run at Mt Coot-tha after the meetup, from 2pm.

In case of inclement weather we will meet in the nearby cafe. (Mary Mae’s at New Farm or the Mt Coot-Tha Gardens Cafe.)

Common-sense rules apply: specifically, no dealing/sourcing, conversations are expected to be confidential among participants, be considerate of each other and of passers-by (ie no persistent loud noise) etc. You can bring children to either, and you can bring friendly dogs to New Farm (not Mt Coot-tha, sorry).

If anyone would like to present on some topic of interest to the community, or offer artworks for admiration and sale, let us know and we’ll mention that, though we ask that the presentation and Q&A be fairly short, say an hour total, and this is not for general commercial promotion or advocacy of some agenda not directly related to the purposes of the APS.

We hope you can join us!
