What do we do?
A large body of our work involves advocacy and changing narratives surrounding psychedelics. This includes raising awareness and educating our community, leaders, physicians (and everyone in between) on the potential health benefits, risks and outcomes when using these medicines, regardless of whether it be recreational use, for mental health, physical health, spiritual development, consciousness exploration or other reasons.
Additionally, we host educational talks, integration circles, book clubs, psychedelic story events, film screenings and much more.
Our network creates both our strength and our support. Our volunteers are located across Australia, with chapters in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. We have special interest groups for women, men, veterans and first responders (with more to come). We are also a part of a larger global movement, with psychedelic societies already established across the USA, UK, and Europe.
We hope that in creating communities across Australia we can better advocate for the decriminalisation of psychedelics and break stigmas associated with their use.
By raising awareness and creating a cohesive network it is hoped that we will achieve drug policy law reform founded on evidence-based information, rather than fear-based misinformation. This is how we keep our community safe and allow sovereignty for all who find themselves on a journey to wholeness, health and wellbeing.
Our Purpose
(1) Provide educational resources to the psychedelic community; improve safety, wellbeing and promote best practice; increase community cohesion and build support networks.
(2) Represent and advocate for the psychedelic community; provide opportunities for the psychedelic community to have a voice on policy, legislation and community development specifically in relation to human rights, best practice, and harm reduction.
(3) Support psychedelic research objectively to ensure benefits to the community.
