APS Adelaide's Bicycle Day Picnic

  • Botanic gardens adelaide North Terrace Adelaide South Australia (map)

The Australian Psychedelic Society's Adelaide group is hosting a picnic to celebrate Bicycle Day, the day in 1943 when Albert Hofmann inadvertently discovered the psychoactive properties of LSD. While some of us will not be riding feel free to ride, scoot or blade along to this event!

We're planning to the right of the trees near the cafe and near the trees to the right of the museum of Economic Botany. If the weather’s fine we’ll picnic on the lawn, if not we will find a space to move to as a group.

The bike ride component is optional, and we're sure it'll be fun for those who bring bikes. But if cycling’s not your thing, that’s fine, you can just chill in the gardens!

There’s no obligation to bring anything other than yourself (and maybe a friend), but if you feel so inclined then here are some ideas on what to bring:

- bike and helmet

- picnic rug

- food to share

- drinks

- musical instruments

- games

- psychedelic books to talk about or swap

Please note that this is a drug-free event. APS events allow like-minded people to meet and discuss psychedelics and related matters. The APS does not endorse any illegal activity at our events.

Look for the purple flags!
