Sydney: DOSED 2 screening + Q&A

  • Dendy Cinemas Newtown 261 King Street Newtown, NSW, 2042 Australia (map)

A remarkable journey of transformation and healing.

Join us at Dendy Newtown on Saturday April 22th at 6:30pm for our Q&A screening of the enlightening new documentary DOSED 2: THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME followed by a fascinating post-film discussion with guests from the Australian Psychedelic Society. Centred on one woman’s treatment of anxiety through the legal use of magic mushrooms, this intimate doco explores alternative therapies that question everything we think we know about the human body, mind, and spirit.

A loving mother of four is granted the right to legally use magic mushrooms to treat her end-of-life anxiety. She then embarks on a remarkable journey of personal transformation and healing while exploring lesser-known possible cures for cancer, like cannabis oil.

“Deeply gratifying.”
– Forbes

“Intimate and moving.”
– Dr Gabor Maté

Immediately after the film ends, the APS will be hosting an engaging and informative Q&A panel which will be your chance to ask those burning questions I’m sure many of you have:

Hosted by APS-Sydney Chapter Lead Jef Baker and recorded for future viewing on our YouTube channel, our guest speakers are Jonathan Brett, Steve Albert & Vince Polito (bios to be added here in the next couple of days).

Don’t forget that in honour of Bicycle Day, the APS will be also hosting an informal gathering that afternoon just down the road in Victoria Park - leaving plenty of time to get a nice feed in Newtown before the film.
