EVENT CANCELLED - Plant medicine with Nick Sun

  • Bardon Hall 247 Simpsons Road Bardon, QLD, 4065 Australia (map)

*** EVENT CANCELLED ***

We are very pleased to invite you to attend a talk by the eminent Mr Nick Sun, writer, comedian and experienced psychonaut, on the topic of plant medicine.

Plant medicines are becoming increasingly popular and while most experiences are positive, there have also been plenty of negative experiences that no one is really talking about. There are also many traps and pitfalls along the psychedelic healing path that are only coming to light now. Many of these issues come from taking these plants out of their original indigenous context and reintroducing them back into a modern culture that is disconnected on multiple levels of being, and that has no reference points or spiritual/cultural containers in which to integrate many of the mystical and downright strange experiences one might have when taking these medicines.

Biography

In his own words:—Hi folks, my name is Nick Sun… I’m a writer who spent a lot of time in the underground plant medicine scene from 2016-2021. So far I have witnessed around 2000 processes in people of all walks of life, mostly with Ayahuasca and kambo but also cactus and Iboga to a lesser degree and wrote about my experiences in my popular plant medicine blog (https://nicksun.medium.com) that I’m currently assembling into a book.

My talk will focus on the traps and pitfalls that I have seen emerging as recurring patterns from my time in the underground scene, in the hope that it will help people navigate their way through the many trials and tribulations that come with the psychedelic plant path.

My talk will be based on these blogs:
