The Gold Coast Women’s group are hosting a Bicycle Day Picnic - SATURDAY APRIL 20th
April 19th, a day etched in the annals of psychedelic history, marks the serendipitous discovery that forever altered humanity's relationship with consciousness. It was on this day, in 1943, that Swiss chemist Dr. Albert Hofmann embarked on a fateful bicycle ride home from his laboratory after synthesizing lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) for the first time. Unbeknownst to him, this journey would become a legendary odyssey, forever known as Bicycle Day.
The APS welcomes you to come join the annual celebration of Bicycle Day and Albert Hofman’s 1943 alchemical discovery, and invite everyone to gather together for a relaxed picnic.
We will mark an exact spot in the event page here, so keep an eye out on the page and in the meantime mark Sat the 20th April 2pm to 5:00pm in your calendar, keep it free and see you there.
Please feel free to bring friends that may be curious or anyone that might enjoy 'meeting the others' as Tim Leary put it.
- Picnic rug
- Food & Drink to share
- musical instruments
- games
- psychedelic books to talk about or swap
It does also need to be disclaimed that is a drug-free event for those who may have misinterpretations about the role and function of APS events.
